The kit includes a powerful magnet base for maximum holding power for steel surfaces specifically designed for vertical work applications. The magnetic on/off feature allows quick and easy use by rotating the top knob. The magnetic base is designed to attach to flat or round metal surfaces. The threaded stud is the standard 5\8-11 thread.
